Giving to others helps us feel in control. But receiving? That’s another story!
Most of us can be generous. We tithe, we donate groceries, buy Girl Scout or Girl Guide cookies, and may give generously to various charities of our choice. Giving warms the heart and reminds us of how well-off we are.
But what about when we have to ask for help? It’s a lot harder for some of us to be on the receiving end. We feel humbled. We sometimes even feel shame and failure. Yet everyone needs a hand from others at some point. If you pulled this card, check how you feel about letting others give to you!
The affirmation for this card is, “Help and abundance is everywhere. Let me open my arms to give—and receive.”
Reversed Meaning
If this card appears upside-down, you may be clenching on to what you have, not truly realizing that others are asking for your time, a little financial support, or even your basic tolerance and acceptance. Open your heart.
