Creativity – Fire
Creativity is a card that has always reminded me of my childhood. I remember being a child, blessed to sit at the feet of my grandmother—a gifted psychic medium—who spun luminous tales of destinies and the unseen. Yet she never told mine. I often wondered what path would one day reveal itself to me.
In my early adult years, I found purpose in the world of beauty as a professional makeup artist. It was a fast-paced, glittering chapter where creativity poured from me with ease. I sculpted stories on faces, each look a moment of ephemeral art. For a young gay man searching for belonging, I felt like I had finally arrived—life was aligned in dazzling, unexpected ways.
But over time, the spark began to dim. After nearly a decade in the industry, the joy of creation became a transaction. My art had a price tag, and my spirit bore the weight of long hours, relentless expectations, and growing exhaustion. I craved something deeper—something ancestral and innate. I turned inward and found the answer had been with me all along.
I come from a long line of seers: Reiki Master Teachers, psychics, mediums, readers of cards and crystal balls. The same path that once whispered to me in childhood now called out with unmistakable clarity. I chose to return to my roots—to continue the work of my grandmothers and mother before me.
Descent – Earth
My first Tarot deck was more than a purchase—it was a homecoming. I began humbly, teaching myself to read for both others and myself. Like the figures depicted on the Descent card, I embarked on a pilgrimage, not knowing where it would lead me. What I thought would be a casual exploration became a lifelong devotion. Over the past decade, I’ve developed a profound relationship with the cards, especially in their intuitive expression. I am still learning, still refining—still cupping the light to guide me in my hands.
When I stopped forcing and simply allowed the energy to flow, everything changed. My readings became luminous beacons for those feeling adrift. I learned to trust the messages, to trust myself, and to hold space for others with compassion and integrity. It was not a fall, but a grounding—a sacred descent into purpose.
Ascent – Air
After several years of spiritual work, a new clarity began to rise within me. I stepped into my Ascent, much like the figure on the card—lifting out of shadow and into light. One of the most powerful decisions I’ve ever made was choosing sobriety. After over a decade of struggling with addiction, I got clean. It was both a personal reckoning and a triumph.
This was no small step—it was a rebirth. I was no longer just surviving; I was reclaiming myself. In choosing life, I began to truly live. The healing I experienced became a source of strength not only for myself but for others. Today, I extend that same grace and support to those still walking their own paths toward wholeness.
Like air, we must learn to move with life—to trust the unseen currents. Our journeys may be unpredictable, but there is wisdom in surrender.
Celebration – Water
Now, I live in the vibration of celebration—not as a destination, but as a practice. I honor every small victory, every client connection, every shared tear and laugh. The Celebration card, like the element of Water, reminds me that feeling is sacred. Emotion is not weakness—it is how we experience life in its fullness.
As I continue to build community and offer guidance through readings and spiritual work, I recognize the deep beauty in simply being present. Life is fleeting. So dance when the moment calls, cry when you need to, laugh often, and love freely. Allow your emotions to move you—they are the tide that carries you home.
